KC Fusaro has been steeped in the history and lore of the American Revolution since growing up in Setauket, NY, the home of George Washington’s most famous spy ring. Writing books about the Revolution however, was an organic evolution, not an aspiration. The writing part isn’t a mystery. He’d written many songs and scripts before tackling long-form fiction. Writing has been in his DNA since he cowrote a stage musical at age 12.
Through the years there were many professional adventures in film, television and theater, but ultimately music was the muse. Songwriter and singer the vocation. The core principle of his creativity, the stated raison d’etre, then as now; to entertain, educate, and inspire.
The Death of the Age of Reason, the first book in the Captain Sedition series, garnered two literary prizes for best historical fiction. One was from Indies Today, a website that reviews and awards independently published books. The other was from Readers Favorite Book Awards, an international book review and awards platform.
KC was once a jock. He was also a bit if a prodigy and received a scholarship from Warner Brothers and the American Film Institute. In addition to musical performances and recordings, he’s appeared in and directed stage plays, films and television, traveled widely, and met many fabulous and interesting people.

The most important thing he’s accomplished however, was marrying Joan, the love of his life. Together they’ve traipsed from the east coast of America to the west and back again. Their love story is the achievement he’s most proud of.
