Growing up in Setauket, NY,  home of George Washington’s most famous spy ring, I was steeped in lore of the American Revolution, but telling stories about the rebellion was an organic evolution, not an aspiration. I'd written many songs and a few scripts before tackling long-form fiction. 

 

Through the years I've had many professional adventures in film, television and theater, but music was the muse. Songwriter and singer the vocation. My core principle, my raison d’etre, then as now, is to entertain, educate, and inspire.

I was once a jock. I also once received a scholarship from Warner Brothers and the American Film Institute. In addition to musical performances and recordings, I've appeared in and directed stage plays, films and television, traveled widely, and met numerous fabulous and interesting people. 

​

The most important thing I've accomplished however, is winning the heart  of my wife, Joan. Together we’ve traipsed from the east coast of America to the west coast and back again. Our love story is the achievement I'm most proud of.
